Efficient multi-ported memories for FPGAs

Charles Eric LaForest and J. Gregory Steffan

Nominated by: Andre DeHon (editor)

This paper started the identification of efficient architectures for building multi-ported RAMs on top of the common embedded RAMs in FPGAs.

This paper was the youngest paper recognized in the FPGA'20 set.
However, it was too young (less than 10 years old), so did not automatically become part of the Hall-of-Fame. It turns 10 in 2020, making it eligible for this class. And it still seems like a suitably significant paper.
